About Us

They say that necessity is the mother of invention. In 1999, I became a single mom responsible for three young boys, I needed a flexible, mom-friendly job that would allow me to support myself and still be fully available to my children. I became part of a growing number of women starting online businesses. Fortunate to live in such close proximity to Lancaster, Pennsylvania where fabric stores abound, I began by selling a couple of novelty fabrics by the fat quarter on eBay. The response was tremendous and soon I was shipping beautiful fabrics all over the world. From that, my business was born. It seemed only appropriate that I name my new adventure "4my3boyz."

Today, 4my3boyz Fabrics has grown in every way. In 2012, we moved into bigger building, an old farmhouse stocked to the rafters with fabric. We now have six employees, and many wonderful friends from around the world. (G'day mates!) We've become known for our wide array of novelty fabrics of the most unique and hard-to-find varieties, all available by the fat quarter and larger. You need a fat quarter with dill pickle slices on it? We've got it!

And my three boys? Well, they've grown up too. They're well on their way to adulthood, forging educational and career paths of their own. I'm so proud of them, and I think they're pretty proud of me too.

I have been blessed in so many ways by this little idea I had many years ago. I am thankful for the opportunities it has afforded my children and I. I appreciate each and every customer who has helped to keep the dream alive and I never lose site of the fact that what seemed a most desperate time in my life blossomed into such a wonderful gift.

Thanks for taking the time to read my story.

Peace! Carol Sutera
